The Doylestown Fire Company is currently looking for volunteers to assist with all facets of Fire Company Operations.
Firefighting, Fund Raising, Special Events, Fire Police, and Support Roles.
We will be holding an informal meeting on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 at 7:30pm at our Shewell Ave Station.
The meeting will only be an hour in length, so hopefully we won’t take up too much of your night. We hope that you can attend and learn about different ways you can become a member and assist with the operation of the Doylestown Fire Company.
A beautiful morning in Doylestown made for a great day to come out and eat pancakes and see friends and neighbors at the Shewell Ave. firehouse on March 15. Almost 1800 meals of pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee were served by members of the fire company and auxiliary.
The Auxiliary and fire company members want to thank everyone who came out to support our efforts protecting the Doylestown community. This was the 50th year of the event, and we look forward to the 51st and more.
Ladder 79 and Engine 19-1 responded along with Chief 19 on Box 29-37 for Land Tech Industries building fire on March 14, 2014. Ladder 79 was put in service with its aerial master stream and Engine 19-1 boosted hydrant pressure out on Bristol road for Engine 29 (Warrington). Engine 19-1 also assisted with runoff hazmat control by setting up absorbent pads in the nearby creek to help keep the runoff from the building from entering creek. Crews were in service for approximately 3 hours. A 2nd alarm was called for manpower.
