Car fire shuts down Rt 611

Firefighters Nick Tartaglia and Paul Kreuter advance the hoseline. 

Dispatched at 12:06 PM, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 for vehicle fire on Southbound Rt. 611 at Edison. Acting Battalion 19-2, Don Talenti, arrived and had a vehicle well involved on the side of the road. Engine 19 arrived and stretched a line, assisted by Ladder 79’s crew. Fire Police were on hand for traffic control. Southbound traffic was stopped for about 40 minuets, and there were no injuries. Congratulations to Talenti and Tommy Kirk for milestones!
