FIRE PREVENTION UNIT
The Fire Prevention Unit of Doylestown Fire Company works all year round to teach young and old fire safety lessons. Along with our mascot Doyle the Dalmatian (above) and our fire safety trailer, members visit schools, day care facilities and community organizations to deliver the vital messages needed to keep everyone safe at home.
The members of the unit have reached out and taught thousands of children and adults throughout the region using our fire safety house (above), both in events in Doylestown and as far as Quakertown and Fort Washington.
We work to educate young children not to fear the equipment of a firefighter in the event of an emergency in their home through hands on demonstrations.
Fun is an important part of our presentations. Hands-on experiences with real firefighting equipment makes an impact on kids and adults alike. |
