January Business Meeting- New officers installed

The Doylestown Fire Company No. 1  welcomed in the new year with a change of leadership. At the January Business meeting, Doylestown Borough Mayor William Neis presided over the swearing in of the new officers of the organization. Drew McPherson was sworn in as president and Dennis Loux, Jr. took the oath to become chief of the fire company. Loux, a life member and Doylestown Township resident, becomes the 25th chief in the history of the department since it’s incorporation in 1895. McPherson, a fire police officer and Doylestown Township resident also, becomes the 16th president. McPherson succeeds Edward J. Boshell, Jr., who held the presidency since 1997. Loux succeeds Michael Wood, who had been chief since 2002.
The rest of the officers taking their elected positions were Jay Fetterolf, deputy chief, Ed Truman and Paul Kreuter, battalion chiefs, James F. Shepard, captain, and Jeff Kennedy and Bud Baughman, Lieutenants. On the administrative side, Larry Browne, 1st vice president, Mark Hamilton, 2nd vice president, Ed Boshell, Treasurer, Bill Cope, assistand treasurer, Jack Connard, financial secretary, C. Ryan Berridge, recording secretary, Roseanne Baughman, assistant recording secretary, and B. J. Loughnane, Dan Kline, David Hedrick, Chris Morris, Clayton Long and Todd Kulp, trustees.

Mayor Neis also presided over the swearing in of the fire police officers- George Erb, Drew McPherson, Dennis Michener and Mark Hamilton. Captain Dennis Loux, Sr. took the oath earlier in the evening.
