All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

  The annual Bucks County Fallen Firefighters memorial service was held at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown on October 6, 2007. Firefighters from all over the county came to pay respects to the firefighters and fire police officers who are remembered on the monument in the courtyard. Ladder 79 made an arch over Main Street at Court with Ladder 29. The color guards from Doylestown and Plumsteadville lead the procession of firefighters up Main Street to the service. Speakers, who included the Bucks County Commissioner Jim Cawley, U. S. Representative Patrick Murphy and Midway Fire Police Captain John Reinhardt. The names of all Pennsylvania Firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2006 were read, and a bell sounded in their memory. After the ceremony, families of the fallen placed carnations at the base of the memorial. Photos by Larry Browne
