On June 7, 2007, The
Doylestown Fire Company made its big screen debut...
well, kinda. The fire company was requested to have
an engine standby to support the crew and cast of
Minghags, a feature length film featuring the
stars of MTV's Jackass and being filmed at the
Fonthill Museum. The filming of the movie included a
scene where a character is set on fire and drives
away in a burning car. The Fire Company was needed
on the set to assist if anything were to go wrong.
We arrived on the set at approximately 8pm and were
briefed on what we would be doing. We also had a
chance to meet some of the actors and the stunt
people that would be performing the stunts that
night. Although we were not incorporated into the
film, be sure to check out the DVD for a glimpse of
the Fire Company behind the scenes of the movie set.
