All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

In the early morning hours of December 12, 2008, The Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to a vehicle on fire that ran into their firehouse. Responding companies found one vehicle fully involved with extension into the building. A 2nd alarm was called for manpower and additional apparatus. The driver of the vehicle was killed in the accident. After the fire was extinguished, there was a great deal of cleanup and Engine 60 was placed out of service due to damage it sustained during the fire. Firefighters from Doylestown loaded up Engine 19-1 and went over to cover their station for 8 hours during the day. While there, the crew helped clean up the station, cleaned the smoked damaged apparatus, and helped to get turnout gear cleaned as well. Photos were taken by Larry Browne.
