The fire company held drill at
the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center on
May 14, where we brushed up on Rapid Intervention
Team (RIT) skills. A RIT team is assigned to protect
firefighters working at a structure fire incase
something were to go wrong. The RIT team would
standby outside the fire building and assist if
something were to happen and firefighters were stuck
inside the structure. Instructor Doug Tilley showed
us ways to lift and drag fallen firefighters to
safety using some basic techniques and hand tools
that we all carry on us. Photos by Sara Grogan.
