On April 30,
2008, the fire company received training on how to
deploy the new Zumro mass-casualty tent at Station
79. The tent, which was purchased with a grant from
State Senator Chuck McIlhinney's office, is designed
to be used in situations where there are many
victims that need to be either treated or
decontaminated. The unit inflates with air in
minutes, and comes with heat and air conditioning
and lighting for all eventualities. The tent rolls
up into a bag for storage and transport. Photos
were taken by Larry Browne.
