
On Saturday, June 13, 2009,
the Doylestown Fire Company travelled to Newtown to
compete in the 89th Annual Bucks County Fireman's
Parade. This year, the parade was hosted by the
Newtown Fire Association in celebration of their
anniversary. The parade was well attended by over
500 firefighters from the county and approximately
100 pieces of apparatus. Engine 19 took home first
place in the best appearing and equipped 1999 and
older engine category, Rescue 19 took home 3rd place
for best appearing and equipped rescue truck, and
Engine 79 took home best appearing and equipped
engine 2000 and newer. Despite the rain the came
