The Doylestown Fire Company
held it's annual fire prevention open house Friday
night, Oct. 3, at the Shewell Ave. firehouse. This
was the second year the event was held in
conjunction with First Friday Doylestown, and once
again, it was a great success. Over an estimated
800 people came to see fire
trucks, rappelling demonstrations, and fire safety
education. The winners of the annual fire prevention
poster contest were announced and displayed. Special
thanks to the staff from the Doylestown Hospital
Emergency Department, for bringing the Teddy Bear
Clinic, Plumsteadville Fire Company, the Middle
Bucks Technical School Public Safety Program, and
state representative Marguerite Quinn's office for
their participation. Photos by Larry Browne.

Winning
entries from the poster contest were displayed
around the firehouse.
