Box 19-20
4056 Ruckman Way, Buckingham Townhsip
12/26/2002
The Christmas storm of 2002 made it tough getting to and fighting a car fire the morning after Christmas. Box 19-20 was struck at 0737 hours for a car fire at 4065 Ruckman Way in Buckingham Township. Engine 79, with Brett Morris and Pete Mills aboard, was first in and Pete took the line in with the assistance of 2 members of Midway F. C. who also work for Buckingham Township. Deputy 19, Jay Fetterolf, opened up the engine compartment with Brett Morris after Battalion 79, Ed Truman, arrived to pump Engine 79. The icy conditions made it treacherous for units heading to the scene, and difficult to leave. Thanks also to the Buckingham Township highway dept. for their assistance.
Jay Fetterolf (l) and Brett Morris work to open the hood.
Pete Mills (r) hits the fire, not Deputy 19, with the stream from a 2" line.
Pete Mills, with an assist from one of the Midway members, waits as Jay and Brett work to get the hood open.
Kevin Morris and Pete Mills stand by after the fire was extinguished.
