It was a brutally hot August afternoon when the call came in for a truck fire at the corner of S. Chubb Drive and Swamp Road in Doylestown Borough. Chief Mike Wood was on scene quickly and reported a truck, fully involved. Engine 19 was quickly on scene and attacked with a 2" handline. Engine 79 arrived and assisted with a backup line and overhaul. Heat indicies were over 100 as the heat wave continued. The truck belonged to a pool maintenance company, and contained pool chemicals, which were contained. No injuries were reported.
