Box 19-16, 907 N. Chubb Drive, Doylestown Borough, October 27, 2004
Battalion 19, Denny Loux, Jr. arrived on the scene and found medium to heavy smoke in the rear and from the chimney.

Box 19-16 was struck at 0736 on the morning of October 27, 2004, for a dwelling fire at 807 N. Chubb Drive in the Meadowbrook section of  Doylestown Borough. Battalion 19, Denny Loux, Jr., was first on scene and reported smoke showing, and then quickly transmitted a working fire. Heavy yellow and brown smoke was pushing from the external basement stairs on side C, and Loux ordered the first engine to hit the hydrant and lead off with a water line to the rear of the dwelling. Captian Paul Kreuter, Lieutenant Brett Morris and firefighter Jerry Bredow were on the attack line into the basement and encountered a great deal of eat and smoke and a very cluttered basement. They had difficulty finding the seat of the fire and had to deal with numerous obstacles as they searched. While the team was working in the basement, Loux was on the first floor looking for secondary access to the basement and to assess extension to the upper floors. Searches above the fire found all occupants had left the building safely.  Fire was breaching the first floor through the heating vents, but an aggressive interior attack in the basement extinguished it before it extended any further. After extensive overhaul that assured all the fire was out, companies packed up and left around 10 AM.

Midway, Plumsteadville and Lingohocken assisted on the fireground and Plumsteadville and Warrington covered the station. There were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation by the Doylestown Borough Fire Marshal.
