Box 79-27, Almshouse Road, Doylestown Township, February 13, 2005

Rescue Box 79-27 was struck on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005 for a vehicular crash on Almshouse Road east of Birdie Circle on the S-curve near the Warwick Twp. line. Battalion 79, Paul Kreuter, arrived to find a Ford Explorer on its side and 2 occupants trapped inside. he ordered Rescue 19 to stabilize the vehicle and prepare to cut the roof off. Engine 79 was assigned hazard control. Junkyard Dog supports were used to stabilize the vehicle and hydraulic cutters removed the roof for quick extrication of the victims. Both occupants were transported with non-life threatening injuries.
