Box 19-22, South Main St. and Ashland Ave., Steak and Hoagie Factory, Doylestown Borough, 5/18/05

Stations 19 and 79 were dispatched to a vehicle fire in Doylestown Borough at Ashland and South Main Streets at 0955 on May 18, 2005. On arrival, Chief Dennis Loux, Jr. reported a vehicle with smoke showing from the engine compartment and ordered the first due engine to prepare to go in service. Borough Fire Marshal David Cell arrived with Captain Jim Shepard and prepared to make access into the vehicle. On arrival of Engine 19, Shepard pulled the bumper line, a 2" handline, and Cell started to make access to the engine compartment, which was now heavily involved. A quick attack with the handline extinguished the fire, and firefighters from Engines 19 and 79 assisted in the overhaul of the vehicle. There were no injuries.Traffic was controlled by Doylestown Fire Police Captain Dennis Loux, Sr. and officers from the Doylestown Borough Police Department.
