The afternoon of February 19 was clear and crisp as Box 24-52 was struck for 87 Log Cabin Drive in Bedminster Twp. for a barn fire. Heavy fire throughout and a need for the tanker task force made it necessary for Chief 24 to strike a second alarm. Ladder 79 was already en route to station 24 for a cover assignment when they were assigned to the second alarm aling with Engines 19 and 19-1. Because of the volume of hay stored in the barn, it was a long operation of putting water on the remains. Doylestown fire police and Canteen 19 responded as well. |
