All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

After a very windy evening, the early morning hours proved to be very busy for Doylestown Fire Company. What started with routine downed wires calls and automatic fire alarms, ended with a working dwelling fire at 19 Chestnut Drive in Doylestown Borough. At 0430 on December 8th, 2006, the tones were dropped for a dwelling fire. Chief 19 Denny Loux Jr. and Battalion 79, Paul Kreuter were first on scene and reported heavy smoke showing from the building. Engine 79-2 running as 19-1 was first on scene and quickly stretched hand lines to the interior. E-19 and E-79 also arrived on scene and went to work backing up the first in crew and attacking the vehicle fire inside the garage. Other companies that were dispatched were Plumsteadville, Midway, Warrington, Warwick, and Lingohocken. Many thanks to our mutual aid and cover companies for helping with this early morning fire. Also thank you to the Central Bucks and Warrington Ambulance Squads and Doylestown Fire Company Auxiliary for their support. (Photos by Denny Loux Sr, Larry Browne, and Sara Grogan)
