Box 34-27 was struck at 4:55 AM on April 11, 2006 for the TLC Car Wash at 77 W. Butler Ave in Chalfont Borough. A vehicle driven by a female had lost control and slammed into the corner of the building where the gas meter was, rupturing it. After 2 bystanders pulled the woman out, the leaking gas ignited, and the resulting fire caused extensive damage to the business. The woman was transported and treated. The fire was placed under control at 6:30 AM, when PECO crews shut down the gas. |
