Doylestown Fire Company No. 1
was dispatched to 4050 Skyron Drive in Buckingham
Township for a building fire at Jarrett Vaughn
Builders at 8:29 AM on October 27, 2006. First
arriving Battalion Chief Paul Kreuter found a light
smoke condition on the exterior and a
smoke condition on the interior. The dust
collection system in the woodworking area had
burning sawdust inside. Using a thermal
imaging camera, Kreuter and firefighters from
Doylestown and Midway worked to find the area of the
system where the fire was concentrated, and
then proceeded to dismantle the ductwork. As the
ductwork came down, the burning dust was dumped
outside and extinguished. The fire was placed
under control at 0923 by Doylestown Chief Denny Loux,
Jr. Also assisting were Dublin, Plumsteadville,
Warwick and Warrington fire companies, Doylestown,
Midway and Plumsteadville fire police, and Central
Bucks Ambulance. Lingohocken and Warminster provided
covers at the 2 Doylestown stations. (Photos by
