After the busy weekend with auto extrications, everyone was looking forward to a relaxing Sunday night. At 8:54pm, Box 19-24 was dispatched for a dwelling fire on Walnut Lane. The first arriving units reported a medium smoke condition inside the residence. The culprit was a fire in the fireplace that went out of control. The fire was knocked by water fire extinguishers. Fire spread to the wall and also to the basement. A good amount of effort was put into overhaul to ensure that the fire had not climbed into any other parts of the dwelling.
