On March 14th, 2007,
Doylestown Fire Company was dispatched to assist the
Warrington Fire Company with an apartment fire.
Rescue 19 was dispatched first to standby as the
Rapid Intervention Team. Shortly after, Ladder 79
was dispatched as well. Both Trucks responded to
1700 Place to assist with the multi-alarm apartment
fire. On arrival, heavy smoke and fire was seen
venting through the roof and command ordered all
interior operations out of the building. The Rescue
crew staged side C of the building and the Ladder
crew staged on side A and went in service with the
ladder pipe. The fire was put under control 45
minutes after dispatch. Ladder 79's crew was allowed
back inside to perform a floor by floor search of
the building. Both crews were then made available
and back home by 2200hrs. (Photos by Sara Grogan)
