All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

At 1:07am, The Doylestown Fire Company was dispatched for a tactical box at 464 Edison Furlong Road for a dwelling fire. First arriving police officers reported a working house fire with a bulk of fire towards the front of the building. Battalion 19, Ed Truman, ordered 2 tankers to be assigned to the box due to lack of hydrants on Edison-Furlong road. Truman arrived on scene and confirmed heavy fire side A of the structure. All residents were out of the building with no entrapment. Ladder 79 and then Engine 19 arrived and went to work stretching two hand lines to the rear of the building to begin knocking the fire. Engine 79 arrived to assist with the tanker shuttle and Rescue 19 provided an air cascade. Additional pieces on scene from Midway, Lingohocken, Chalfont, Warwick, and Warrington. Crews were on scene for an extended amount of time controlling the fire and assisting with overhaul. Photos by Larry Browne, Denny Loux Sr., and Sara Grogan.
