All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

The morning of December 16th was quite busy for the fire company. We were all woken up at 545 for a call reporting wires down. Quickly after the first dispatch, the fire company was dispatched for 5 more calls ranging from wires, alarm systems, and even a downed tree into a house. While Engine 19-1 handled the wires down calls, Ladder 79 and Engine 19 were directed to Lancaster Ave to assist a homeowner who had a large tree fall on their house. Crews worked to secure the utilities to the dwelling and also worked to protect the contents of the house from additional damage. In all, 10 calls were run in 24 hours during the ice storm. Luckily, no injuries were reported. Photos by Sara Grogan.
