Just after midnight on August
5, the Fire Company was dispatched to Lois Lane and
Burnt House Hill Rd for an auto extrication. Initial
reports stated that a car running from the police
lost control and crashed into a tree. Engine 79
arrived on scene to find a car up against a tree
with a person stuck between the front seat and
dashboard with their leg stuck outside. Engine 79's
crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle and
preparing for Rescue 19 to arrive to pop the door.
Upon further investigation, it was found that the
car door was just stuck on the tree. A chainsaw was
used to cut down the tree, then allowing EMS and
Police to get to the person trapped inside. Photos
