The Doylestown Fire Company
was dispatched for a second call on Christmas Day.
At 4:07pm, the company was alerted to a car fire at
3864 Old Easton Road. Firefighter Scott McCurdy was
driving down the road when he noticed a vehicle on
fire. McCurdy grabbed a garden hose and began to
extinguish the fire while 911 was notified. Engine
19 and Battalion 79 arrived on scene to check for
