On Memorial Day Night, May 26,
2008, The Doylestown Fire Company was called to
assist with the landing of a medevac helicopter on
the Route 611 South Bypass for a reported motorcycle
accident. Police and Medic units on scene reported a
single motorcycle crash and put a medevac helicopter
on standby. Engine 19 responded and took the landing
zone. Engine 79 responded and assisted with traffic
control. Route 611 South was closed for
approximately an hour while medics worked to
stabilize the patient and fly them to the nearest
trauma center. Photos taken by Sara Grogan.

Police,
Fire, and EMS crews work to stabilize the patient
