All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

Just when everyone was about to go to sleep on Saturday Night, May 31, 2008, the county dispatched the Doylestown Fire Company to yet another call with fire reported. Battalion 79 Paul Kreuter was first on scene and reported fire coming from the eves of a dwelling. Chief 19 Denny Loux established command and advised incoming apparatus of what was happening. Engine 19 was first on scene and stretched a handline to the interior. The crew from Ladder 79 went to the roof and threw ladders to the burning vent. Crews on the interior found no fire conditions and reported that the fire had not spread to the interior of the house. Crews removed siding from the house to check for exterior extension. The fire was put out quick and kept the house from any severe damage. Photos by Larry Browne.
