All Volunteer Stations, 19 & 79, Bucks County, PA

At 9:50am on May 31, 2008, The Doylestown Fire Company was dispatched to a reported barn fire on 4320 Tersher Drive in Buckingham Township. Bucks County Radio advised that numerous phone calls were coming in for a fully involved barn. Companies from Doylestown, Midway, Warrington, Plumsteadville, and Lingohocken were on scene and worked together to put out the fire. Additional manpower was needed due to exposure issues towards the rear of the barn. In addition to being the third working fire in three days for the Doylestown Fire Company, severe weather and a tornado watch was announced for the area due to incoming thunderstorms. Luckily, all companies were available as the weather turned south. No injuries were reported and thank you to the auxiliary members who staffed Canteen 19 during the call. Photos by Sara Grogan.
