At approximately 7:15pm on
Sunday June 7, 2009, The Doylestown Fire Company was
dispatched to assist the Warrington Fire Company
with a reported building fire at Flexible Circuits,
222 Valley Road. Chief 29 (Bean) was first on scene
and reported heavy fire through the roof. First
arriving apparatus knew of the possible hazardous
materials stored inside the building so an exterior
attack was set up with elevated master streams and
ground monitors. Command requested the 2nd and 3rd
alarms for manpower and water supply. Multiple 5
inch hose lines were laid out and some went as far
away as County Line Road and Route 611. Engine 19-1,
Rescue 19, and Ladder 79 assisted with the call and
were on scene for an extended period of time. The
fire was placed under control around 10:30pm and
Doylestown units were returned home around 1:30am.
