Fire Company responds to plane crash on Rt 611 bypass

At 11:46 AM, June 1, 2013, the fire company was dispatched for a report of a small aircraft crash in the area of Rts. 611 and 313. On arrival, an ultralight aircraft was found to have hit the power lines that crossed over Rt. 611. The pilot was extracted by onlookers, and patient care was given by Central Bucks Ambulance. The pilot was transported to Temple Burn Center by helicopter, his condition is unknown at this time. The fire company was assisted by Plumsteadville Fire Company, and area fire police units. The FAA is investigating.
