Bringing Santa to town

Santa greets the good girls and boys from the Fox.

As is the tradition for many years, the fire company provided Santa’s sleigh for his annual arrival in town, taking him and his elves to State and Main, where he dismounted and lead the crowd in the countdown to light the Borough Christmas tree. Taking in the celebration was the new Rescue 19, which made it’s public debut in grand style, as the Fox, now 90-years young, handled the Santa duties.

It was also the public debut for the new Rescue 19!
As always, the streets were lined waiting for the jolly fat man to arrive.

Welcome to the new Rescue 19!

The new Rescue 19 arrived in quarters on November 15, 2013. It was welcomed by members and family members alike. A ceremonial push in the station capped the arrival. On Saturday morning the work began preparing the truck for service. Over the next weeks, the equipment will be mounted, drivers trained and firefighters will learn all of the new capabilities of new apparatus.

Thanks to Clorece Kulp for photos of the arrival.
