If you were at the firehouse on Saturday March 21, 2015 for the pancake breakfast, you would have seen our volunteers running out the door for 2 major traffic accidents during the day. The first call was for a multi-vehicle accident on 611 just north of the Barn Plaza. First responders found a pickup truck with heavy front end damage that collided with a fire truck from Richlandtown Fire Company, along with a couple other vehicles that were involved after the initial accident. Minor injuries were reported and the highway was closed for an extended period of time to remove the vehicles. The 2nd accident involved a single vehicle on northbound 202 bypass, just south of the off ramp at 202 and 313. A single vehicle collided with the center median and guard rails, requiring the first arriving units to remove the passenger door to extricate the driver. Crews were in service for a short period of time to remove the driver of the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Despite both of the calls, the fire company was able to serve over 1700 breakfasts to the community that came through. Thank you for your support!
