On Thursday night, July 9, a violent storm rolled through the area, bringing high winds and heavy rains. After the storm had passed, the fire company was dispatched for a wires call in the 900 block of Almshouse Road in Doylestown Township. On arrival, Deputy Chief Mike Wood reported a large branch down on the power lines with a small fire. After searching the adjacent home and checking for extension, PECO Energy arrived on scene and secured the power. Warrington Fire Company also responded to the scene.
