Did you know Doylestown Fire Company is 100% VOLUNTEER? That’s right, when you see the truck going down the road to a call the crew on board is made up of members of your community who are taking time out of their lives to help protect and save lives!!
Did you also know the number of volunteers in PA has dropped from 300,000 to 50,000 in the last 30 years?
Fire companies across the state need your help to continue protecting the community, so if you are interested in helping out, let us know. At a minimum, please help spread the word about how your local VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS take the time out of their lives on a daily basis to help protect the communities and people that they love!
Members of the fire company and auxiliary started the preparations for the annual Pancake Day on February 25th with ticket presales. As always tickets are available at the door on the day of the big event, which starts at 6:30 AM till Noon on Saturday March 15th at the Shewell Avenue firehouse. C’mon out to enjoy a great breakfast and meet the volunteers who serve the community!
On Tuesday, February 11th, Doylestown Fire Company was dispatched to assist with a tank rupture which leaked 200 gallons of oil into a tributary of the Neshaminy Creek. Firefighters responded and applied their training and expertise to trap and remove the oil before it made its way out of the tributary.

The Doylestown Fire Company’s annual fire prevention open house will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2011 from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. The event revolves around having fun while also educating kids and adults about fire safety. There will be fire trucks, fire safety information, gear for kids and adults to try on, and Doyle the Dalmatian!
The event is free! Please stop by and say hello to your local fire volunteers at the Shewell Ave. Firehouse at 68 Shewell Ave, in Doylestown Borough.
The annual all-you-can-eat event will feature pancakes, sausage, coffee and drinks for all! Doors will open on Saturday, March 17th from 6:30 AM until 12 noon. Come out and meet the men and women who protect the Doylestown community and have a great breakfast with friends and neighbors!
Advance adult tickets are also available for purchase at Duck Deli, Herb’s Hobbies and Crafts, Impact Hair Design, Nat’s, Paul B. Moyer and Sons, Happ Contractors, Aunt Judy’s Family Restaurant.
Adults $6 Door – Kids 6-12 $3 at the door – Children under 6 are free
